Today I took a Literature Quiz in school. It took up just about the whole Literature lesson, but I wasn't too upset. But you know how sometimes it stinks to have a teacher teaching you two or more subjects? Well,my Literature teacher is also my English teacher so half of our English period was taken by Literature. So anyway, in the test, we were supposed to watch three versions of a different scene in Hamlet. Then we were told to analyse and answer several questions related to the scene or act, whatever you call it. Each version was to be played twice.
Somewhere during the test, after I had completed the necessary questions on the first version, I lay my head on the table to rest, as I had nothing better to do. However, I was scolded my the teacher for "sleeping in class". I wasn't sleeping, my head was just on the table! I mean, look at it this way: During an examination, you would probably find the time for the paper too long (other than for Maths, of course) and you would usually put your head on the table to rest. Even my teachers tell me to do that," When you're done, look down." So what's the big difference here? I mean it IS a test and we should have the right to do whatever we want. Sure they want the best for us, but I had already completed the necessary questions for the scene, and I wanted to move on, but i couldn't.

A special moment I enjoyed with my family
Two years ago during the December holidays, my family and I went to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. It was indeed a special moment. I still remember boarding the plane on 3rd December 2009. We touched down in Orlando the 5th. It was late at night and it was pouring. I also remembered that we had to wait a really really long time for the bus to arrive. After a very long bus ride, we reached our hotel, Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower.
We went off to the theme parks the next day. There are 4 theme parks in total, excluding the water parks, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Epcot. We went to Magic Kingdom first. My favourite ride there would definitely be Space Mountain. It is a roller-coaster and when you ride it, it feels like you are travelling in space.
However, my favourite of all is definitely, without a doubt, Expedition Everest. It's a real thriller. I especially love the part where you drop down the huge and very steep slope.
The theme parks were also very festive, and there were Christmas fireworks and parades in all the theme parks. I watched the parade and fireworks show in Magic Kingdom. It was a true spectacle.
However, all things have an end, and ten days later, my Disney experience ended. I felt very sad that I had to leave, especially after I had just gotten over my jet-lag. Oh well, maybe I'll go there again soon!

My favourite computer game
My favourite computer game is Sudden Attack, a First-Person-Shooter (FPS for short) created by Asiasoft. I like many FPS games, for example Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, Medal Of Honour and Wolfteam. However, I like Sudden Attack the most, firstly because it is a multiplayer game and secondly because many people in the class play it too. This makes the game more exciting.
My favourite map in Sudden Attack is Monkey Garden. I like it as i play best in there, as it is a "knifing" map . I also like other maps, like "Warehouse" and "Triple Tower". So, as you can probably tell, my favourite weapon is a knife too, Gurkha Chrome.
I started playing Sudden Attack in Primary 6, and was introduced by my tuition friend. However, I had to take a break as the Primary School Leaving Examinations were around the corner and I had to study.
In Secondary 1, I realised that many of my classmates played this game too and i decided to return to this game. However, I had forgotten my username and password, hence I had to create a new account.
I would like to say that I am not an addict in Sudden Attack, unlike some people in my class.
In Sudden Attack, I go by the names "HSdropdead" and "NUBBYPOWR". You can usually find me playing in knife matches if I am not playing with my friends.
OK, I am going to play Sudden Attack now.
Signing off,
Elliot

Something unusual that happened that day
Today afternoon, it was lunchtime and church service had ended, so we went to the food court at the nearby shopping mall. It was quite crowded there, even though it was only 11 in the morning. After a few minutes of searching, we finally found a table big enough for the five of us. We got seated, my father passed me a ten-dollar bill and I went to buy my food. I scanned the different stores showcasing their unique and delicious meals, wondering what I should eat. However, one store caught my attention, the western store. It was a new store, I had never seen it there before. I made my way to the western store.
When I got there, I looked at the menu there. After contemplating for awhile, i decided to go with the "Happiness Plate"-three pieces of deep-fried chicken wings and french fries and garlic toast. I told the vendor, in broken Mandarin," I would the Happiness Plate please." He replied in Mandarin," Sorry, but we have run out of chicken." Incredulous, I said, again in broken Mandarin, half expecting a camera to pop out soon." What do you mean you have run out of chicken? Is this a joke?" He explained to me how it happened, how the delivery was delayed, so if I wanted the chicken , I would have to wait. Rather annoyed, I decided to order the bolognaise spaghetti.
This was definitely a very unusual experience, but looking back, I find it quite amusing how it happened.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!!!
Today is my grandfather's 75th birthday. Let me start by saying a merry "Happy Birthday!" from the whole family.
Last Saturday night, at 6:30, my family and I left the house and set off for my grandparent's apartment in Ang Mo Kio. A long drive it may have been, but it was exciting. It was the celebration of my grandfather's 75th birthday. That night, my two uncles from my fathers end of the family tree went to my grandparent's place to celebrate this joyous occasion.
At 7:00p.m., we reached his block. When we arrived, all the my uncles, aunts and cousins were already there. We were the last ones! It was rather embarrassing. At that time, the food had not arrived yet, so my siblings, cousins and I went into the room to play games while the adults chatted in the living area.
About half an hour later, the food came. There were many mouth-watering dishes that night, including my favourites - suckling pig and lotus buns.
After a sumptuous and filling dinner, we ended the party the traditional way - with the birthday cake for dessert. my parents took out my grandfather's birthday cake. It was a dark-brown sponge cake, coated with think, rich chocolate cream, and to finish it were the words "Happy Birthday" written with cream-white icing sugar. It was from the well-known chocolate-making company called "Awfully Chocolate".
After dessert, we left for home. It was already late at night, but we were hardly tired. It was a very merry and special celebration indeed.
Here are some pictures from the dinner:
